Students shall be enrolled as per the seat limit mentioned against each subject below:

B.A. (Honours) Political Science Semester – I 200
B.A. (Honours) History Semester – I 200
B.A. (Honours) English Semester – I 150

B.A. (Honours) Economics Semester – I 100

B.Com. Semester – I 200
B.Sc. (Honours) Physics Semester – I 30

B.A Semester-I

  1. Out of 1200 seats, 800 seats are reserved for the students of Catchment Area strictly on merit basis which include 20 seats each for students from Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri and Kra Daadi with Education as one of the subjects and 30 seats for students from Papum Pare with Geography as one of the subjects.Definition of Catchment for Arts: Students permanently residing in capital complex/passing out from a school located in the capital complex/ students whose parents are employed in the capital complex.
  2. Rest 400 seats are reserved for students from Non-Catchment Area (different parts of the state) strictly on the merit basis. Students with minimum 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply under this category.

Definition of Catchment for Arts Applicants: Students passed out from a school of capital complex/permanently residing in capital complex.

B.Com. Semester-I

  1. Out of total 200 seats, 80% seats are reserved for students from catchment area purely on merit basis. 20% seats are reserved for students from Non-Catchment Area having minimum 45% marks in class-XII.
  2. Students must have passed class - XII with commerce or economics/ mathematics/statistics as one of the subjects.

Definition of Catchment for Commerce Applicants: Students permanently residing in capital complex/ passing out from a school of capital complex/ whose parents are employed in the capital complex/Students of Lower Subansiri / Kurung Kumey/ Papum Pare/ Kra Daadi.

B.Sc. Semester-I

  1. Out of total 200 seats (PCM-100 & CBZ-100), 80% seats are reserved for students from Catchment Area strictly on merit basis. 20 % seats are reserved for students from Non-Catchment Area with minimum 60% marks in class-XII.
    Definition of Catchment Area for Science Applicants: Students permanently residing in capital complex/ passing out from a school located in capital complex/ students, whose parents are employed in the capital complex/Students from Upper Subansiri/ Lower Subansiri/ Kurung Kumey/ Kra Daadi/ Papumpare/ East Kameng/ West Kameng & Tawang)
  2. For admission to CBZ (Chemistry-Botany-Zoology) combination Students must have passed class-XII with Biology, Chemistry and Physics as subjects while for admission to PCM (Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics) combination, they must have passed class-XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

N.B.:

  1. Parents of Students residing at capital complex, but have passed from places other than capital complex should submit employment certificate from their employer.
  2. Permanent Resident certificate is to be produced wherever there is claim for permanent residence within catchment area.
  3. NIOS Candidates shall be treated as Non-Catchment area candidates. To claim under catchment quota, NIOS Candidates require to produce Permanent Resident Certificate/Parent's Employee Certificate.
