Career Counselling and Placement Cell

The college runs a centre for career counselling with two faculty members as counsellors who impart guidance to the students for seeking admission in universities outside the state and also explore the possibilities of placement of students in various govt. and private organisations. The UGC provides assistance for such activities.

Career Counselling Cell, Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar organizes series of counselling sessions and career awareness programmes to guide the students in choosing appropriate career/programmes/courses/disciplines for further/higher studies in accordance with their aptitude and interest. In addition to these, the Career Counselling Cell holds:

1. Workshops on Career Awareness and employment opportunities in various fields
2. Awareness-Interaction on various centrally sponsored Programmes and Schemes such as PMEGP, MGNREGA etc.
3. Awareness Programme on the Functions, Role of APPSC and Schemes of Examinations
4. Counselling on Various Entrance Examinations of different Universities like JNU,BHU, NEHU,NERIST etc.
5. Counselling on Subjects and Courses with Better Job Prospects
6. Counselling on Communication Skills & Personality Development etc
7. Counselling and guidance to Individual students throughout the year –as and when sought for.
