Certificate Course in Translation And Media Writing

(A self-financed Course launched by the Department of English in collaboration with Department of Hindi)

Translation has emerged as a major area of study and plays an important role in understanding of the diversity of the Indian culture and society and enriching the languages. The certificate course in translation aims at teaching translation from English to Hindi and vice versa. It is designed to develop the translation skills of the learners. Besides imparting the knowledge of the theory and practice of translation, the course is also expected to provide a vocational orientation to learners who are planning their career as professional translators and script writer for media

The course is duly approved and recognized by the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and has legal validity for applying for job in Govt. as well as private organizations.

1. Durations of course : 06 Months (October-March)
2. Eligibility : 10+2 pass or above (Proficiency in English and Hindi is essential)
3. Intake : 20
4. Time of Classes : Between 3 pm-5 pm (15th October – 15th December)
5. Schedule of examination : 3rd Week of March 2017

The interested applicants may contact Head of Department of English personally during the college hours and collect application forms. The filled in application forms are to be submitted with requisite fees and testimonials to the course Coordinator before 31st August every year.
