Dr. P. Nanda, HoD, Dept. of Zoology, DNGC delivered the welcome address highlighting the contribution of the college in the development of the society. Mr. Joram Muthu, Jt. Director, Higher & Technical Education, GoAP, speaking as the Special Guest, urged the students and participants for becoming self-reliant and contribute to the society.
DNGC Principal Dr. M. Q. Khan encouraged the students for understanding the values of bioresources and their sustainable use. He also urged the audience including teachers, researchers and students to percolate the message to the common men and real stakeholders of the community, i.e., the villagers. Prof. H. N. Sharma, HoD, Dept. of Zoology of RGU delivered the keynote address and emphasized on the sustainable development of the region by utilizing the bioresources of Arunachal Pradesh. Participants from Rajiv Gandhi University, Tezpur University and other institutes presented a total of 22 papers on the themes - bioresource management, sustainable development, ethnobiological practices, conservation of natural resources and various biodiversity approaches etc.
Dr. H. Sharma, the Convener of the Seminar was happy and satisfied with the success of the Seminar.
